Lazy Sunday Afternoon

Jag tittar på Sixties på SVT. Ett program om 60-talets pop. I kväll handlar det bl a om ett av mina favoritband från den tiden, Small Faces. Jag har tidigare skrivit om en av bandets medlemmar här.

I kvällens program berättar en av de två bandmedlemmar som är kvar i livet, Ian McLagan om hur de blev lurade på pengar av sin manager. Managern förklarade att alla pengar gick åt till kläder och bandets vilda festande. McLagan är numera bosatt i Austin Texas och spelar bl a med Billy Bragg. Han har gjort en hyllningsskiva till Ronnie Lane som gavs ut till det som skulle ha blivit Lanes 60-årsdag. Han avled 1997 efter att ha varit sjuk i MS drygt 20 år. Den skivan har jag just beställt.

I morgon tror jag att jag hedrar Ronnie och de andra i Small Faces med en Lazy Sunday Afternoon.
